Arts and Crafts Listed Buildings

Jubilee Room
Saturday 26 January to Sunday 19 May 2019

Around the year 1900, houses by the Architects Charles Voysey and Washington Broome were built in Bushey, just before a spate of expansion of the village. As a result many of the new houses were in the Arts and Crafts style, and contribute greatly to the pleasures of walking round Bushey. This exhibition in the Jubilee Room features some twenty of those that made it onto Hertsmere’s Local List, together with those on the National Listed Buildings list as ‘Grade 2 listed’. All of those shown are within a mile or so of the Museum, and can be seen from the public roadway.
